
Immanuel Theological Seminary (ITS) commenced its new academic year with a faculty and staff orientation program on June 19, 2025, followed by the official inaugural ceremony at ZBCCNEl Centre Church, centered on the theme “Pursuing God’s Approval” (2 Timothy 2:15) on June 24, 2025.
The ITS Faculty- Staff orientation, themed “Team Work”, was held at the ITS Library and began at 10 AM. The event was moderated by Rev. Dr. Tunchapbo SP, Principal of ITS. The first session featured a keynote by Mr. Kaningai Riamei, Chairman of CHI, Tamenglong who reflected on Bill Gross’ five success factors: timing, team strength, individual contribution, model, and funding.
The second session included a detailed explanation of working guidelines by Mr. Gaichangsui Gangmei, Chairman of the Board of Governors. The final session was a time of exhortation and intercessory prayer led by Senior Pastor, RK Lungkiupou, Board Member, who illustrated the need for vigilance and consistency through the proverb, “When the rain comes, the monkey decides to build house; when the rain stops it forgets.”
He also reminded the attendees about the importance of studying the word of God by quoting various verses such as Hebrews 4:12. The seminary continues the week with a Community Prayer and Fasting Programme on June 25, 2025 seeking divine guidance and unity as the new academic year begins.
